Yeah, this one is kinda awful, which is why it is still here. My birthday does not seem to be a popular day for book releases in any year. Believe me, I have wasted a lot of time on this. All I've managed to come up with is one edition of a book by an author I'd rather not promote, but I do happen to have a copy, so I guess I'll eventually force myself to read it.

Mary Arkless | 153 comments So, I read "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" by James Joyce. Joyce and I have the same birthday, and he insisted his books be first published on his birthday. "Hooray!" I thought. "Ugh!" I now think. I will not be rushing to read any more of his books.

I have yet to try any James Joyce. I think I will not be making it a priority in my life. :-)

I happened to read Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men before getting to the book I knew I had. I thought this book was very interesting as far as it went. But apparently this author is also a big ol' TERF. :-/
