I think kidnapers removes/changes a letter from transpire
Joanne, my grandmother in N. Carolina called turtles terrapins. So I know that word, as I brought home plenty of big ones so they wouldn't get smashed on the roads. I let them all go eventually. I think kidnapers doesn't work either -- t and a second r aren't used and there is a new k and d?
