Nadine | 4 comments The Veldt was very impressive as well... I read There Will Come Soft Rains hit me... I read a version in which the date of the "event" was 2024, which is like the day after tomorrow.

I haven't read The Small Assassin yet but put it high up on my list after reading your comments.

Chad | 860 comments I just listened to The Crowd. Very good. I’ve been “reading” through a number of short stories read by Tony Walker on YouTube. He really does a fantastic job. Mostly classic spooky tales. I highly recommend his channel.

Chad, are you referring to short stories Tony Walker is reading that are written by Bradbury? Please do tell which titles you have really enjoyed and anything of note you'd like to mention.

Bob Dover | 2 comments I have always been an avid reader, but with one limitation - I hate (hate!) reading something that is suggested to me, or forced on me, by anyone else. As a youngster, that especially applied to books assigned in English class in school, so I resisted reading these, and my grades reflected this. But in my late 20s, for some reason, I decided to re-read one of the high school books that I had resisted and hated - it was Dandelion Wine. This was my first introduction to the concept that classics are classics for a reason. I have since re-read it every summer since then (and that is a lot of summers!) I also re-read Something Wicked this Way Comes every Halloween, and all 5 Dickens Christmas books every December (currently reading the Battle of Life). Bradbury's specific choices of words and imagery are my favorite of any author.

Bob Dover | 2 comments Thanks, Bernard. I have a few times, but I missed this year . . . Also, The Halloween Tree.
