Marco Looking for horror rooted in reality. Something like Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door. Anyone?

Are you simply looking for horror without supernatural or sci-fi elements or horror literature inspired by real events?

Marco The latter.

Off Season and Offspring: The Sequel to Off Season, also by Ketchum, were loosely inspired by the case of the Sawney Bean family. And there's Robert Bloch's Psycho, inspired by the deeds of Ed Gein.

Marco Psycho. Damn, I should have thought of that one myself, haha. Happy with the Off Seasons, somehow I overlooked those. On the list they go. Thanks, C.!
