Looking forward to reading everyone’s thoughts. It’s a perfect February read. The story takes place during the summer months & had me longing for warmer days on the lake at the cottage but of course without the drama of Hollow’s Edge 😉

It was available at my library so I borrowed it. Can't wait for the discussion on this one. I have been hearing people talk about it on book tube but I hadn't picked it up yet.

Just started it today. I’m on chapter 3 and it’s definitely a page turner. I can’t wait to see what unfolds and learn more about Ruby.

I'm on a six-week waiting list at my library, so if I do join the conversation it will be well after the fact. Oh well. Y'all enjoy, I will be reading it and reading this discussion sometime in the future.

The author did very well at creating an atmosphere full of suspicion, but unfortunately the story itself was a bit too simple. The plot is basically based on the fact that no one talks honestly with anyone. I'm a little disappointed.

I liked the story and I thought the twist was well done.

Sorry it wasn’t for you Fleurette. I felt that the neighbours did speak to each other, just not to Harper. They preferred to avoid confrontation.

In the end, it seemed to me that everyone had some suspicions and acted on it. And if they had talked honestly about their suspicions, it was possible that they could have avoided the whole mess.

Yeah, you're right! I just wanted there to be something more to this story. More mystery, I think.

I thought this was a really good book! It did seem a little rushed at the end but overall I did really like the story line. :)

Sounds like an interesting book. I requested it from our public library.
