Elizabeth (Alaska) Michael Chabon was interviewed today by Terry Gross on NPR's Fresh Air. The interview will be available by podcast at http://www.npr.org/templates/story/st... in case any of you missed it. I have not read this author, but suspect many of you have. I found the interview very interesting.

Cindy (cyndil62) | 1774 comments I haven't read any of this author's books either Elizabeth but may have to. Thanks for posting this great interview! Other stories on this site were interesting too!

Nadia A (bagambo) I have several of his books on my shelves and have yet to read any of them. I have to rectify that and soon!

Elizabeth (Alaska) A guy who carries a purse and a pink phone and doesn't care what other people think - gotta love him! Which of his would you recommend I choose as a first read?

Meg (megvt) | 3069 comments I loved the Adventures of Kavalier and Clay. Definitely my favorite so far.

Rose (roseo) The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay was a Pulitzer winner and I enjoyed it so much.

Elizabeth (Alaska) OK, I'll definitely put that one on my Wish List. Thanks, gals.

Lindalee Stahlman (lindalees) | 9 comments The Yiddish Policeman's Union won the Hugo and the Nebula for 2008. It is a very fastinating alternative history.
I saw Chabon talk at the U. of KS-drove 2 1/2 hours to do so and it was worth it.

Elizabeth (Alaska) I don't know about comic books, Brenda, but living so near Sitka, and having visited there several times, there is no way I could buy this story.

AJ (anersword) | 121 comments I highly recommend The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay - while it revolves around the ocmic book industry it's really about so many other things and the idea of "comics" is more of a setting. Great historical fiction and amazing story.
