Team 2: Two-gether Two Win

Jenn, I hope your husband/son is ok. It’s always nice when surgery is over, but recovery can be taxing.
I was hoping for a magical master strategist to give me some direction, haha. I own and operate a one-person company and this is our busy time. I’m hoping to be able to read two books next week. Maybe more, but it’ll depend on how much work comes in that week.
I’m open to ideas, maybe we could just read for tasks if we don’t have time to strategize? I haven’t gophered much yet, but I have books that would work for
Chicago - tasks 1, 3, 4, possibly 7 or definitely 8
NY - 1, 4, 5, 7, or 9
Boston - 1, 4 if witchcraft/wanting to burn witches is religious theme
London - set in London, task 4, 7 or 10
Berlin - 1, 3, 6, 9
Tokyo - 2
I’d like to see what you all think about planning to read for a site(s) vs just reading tasks, since we can each read for the same task(s) if we want.

I can’t really explain Bitcoin either. It just pulls lots of electricity and is extremely loud 24 hours a day. Plus home values drop. They are “mining” data bits which keeps the computers going constantly. Apparently, wildlife is also affected, like birds, and disappear. I live in a small Georgia town and we really don’t want it…but it does bring in money so we are basically trying to fight the dollar. Anyway, City Hall meeting is this week and several others so I am a little antsy about detailed data like scoring.
It looks likeLaura has something for each race, so should we start there?
Any idea what you can read, Jenn under Chicago, if we start there?
I guess we can go as Two-get her Two Win? …if no one else has a better idea?
I also read quickly and A LOT so there is that…

Oh, loud and property values dropping and wildlife disappearing doesn’t sound good, so good luck to you Sharon and thanks for explaining! I had no clue.
As for names, you all can choose, I am fine with whatever.
I’m going to keep gophering and I’ll update my post above if I find books for more tasks. The only city I’m missing is Tokyo. I think my best bet for those tasks may be titles starting with E, D, O 🙏🏻 ETA: I did find E and D :)

“Two-Gether Two Win” an ok name for the team for you or do you have a different one.

That sounds perfect Sharon 👍
And, yes it is my husband. Two and a half year wait, finally got booked for a week ago Thursday, but delayed twice, then cancelled. Was rebooked for next Friday, but got the call for a cancellation. He is moving better than we had feared, but still only first day home from knee and shoulder (opposite sides, of course), so time will tell if he is going to be a good patient, or not lol
I am happy to start gophering wherever the need is 😊

I guess, maybe we can start with Chicago and see how we do. Then, if it looks like we just need to do tasks and not complete a city, we will adjust.

I'll gopher for some chicago books and come back and let you know!

fantasy>magic

Thanks Emma!

Yeah... just set in Tokyo.

Yeah... just set in Tokyo."
Got it!

Yeah... just set in Tokyo."
Got it!"
If noone has #9 Chicago- I will take it - with Stolen Tongues.
I can probably take a couple more... if I can find matches on audio.

Yeah... just set in Tokyo."
Got it!"
If noone h..."
I have you down for #9 Chicago, as well.

Yeah... just set in Tokyo."
Go..."
Dang it... need to change the book to A Monster Calls.. It doesn't look like the other is released yet.. sorry.

We don't have to use it but I will be using it to track the score. Do we want to try and complete a circuit as well as doing Chicago? To earn the extra points?

@Emma- I think we have the circuit cover already, but then again I stay confused.

Wonderful, sure here it is: The Familiars by Stacey Halls for task 1 Chicago
and I will update the spreadsheet, if that’s ok 👍🏻

We don't have to use it but I will be using it to track the score. Do ..."
Beautiful, Emma! Well done 💪🏻🙏🏻

The Women of Pearl Island by Polly Crosby
👉 and it would also work for these tasks, if we are going for the circuit, or want to complete another site:
NY task 1, 5 word title
NY task 5, pearl in title
Berlin task 1, set on an island
Edited to add: This next book is a dual timeline (Chicago task 7) that also has LAKE in the title (Chicago, task 3) if that’s better:
The Lake and the Lost Girl by Jacquelyn Vincenta
I may be able to fit in a third book, and I’m open to suggestions. I’ll update my original post for tasks that could work.

Also, I think Chicago 7 is dual timelines and that should be my second book, The Women of Pearl Island, unless someone else wants it
Sorry, Sharon, I didn’t realize you wanted the Lake task 😬 just found another book while gophering, isn’t that always the way

Just to be clear, what are the tasks that Emma is reading for?
I am confused though. I don’t see Emma’s entries on the spreadsheet so I don’t see the titles. Anyone know why I can’t see the titles? I just see a blank spreadsheet. I signed in but still just see empty cells.
So, Chicago is finished! Yay!!
To finish the circuit, we have the location tasks listed above as I updated.
Then, I guess we can just choose another city to finish or read for random tasks. Any suggestions? (We haven’t heard from Jenn yet.)
Thanks for keeping me on track.

I think we need a planning post.. so I can tell what is happening..
Also messed up The House in the Cerulean Sea.. It is Berlin #1 not London ... sorry

That leaves Chicago #3.
I think with our crew we will through a circuit and many cities.... or we could keep doing Chicago over and over..Then I could put my book back on there... lol

I added and corrected the changes above. I also added me to the London location so that takes care of the circuit. So now, whatever tasks anyone wants to read…

Oh, then yes, it makes sense why were both confused, we’re using different numbering systems. 😀
Emma has herself down for Chicago 2, 8, and 10 (the spreadsheet is numbered as Kristie posted them)
When you log into the spreadsheet you’re on the summary tab. My guess is she has formulas in there to total the books read from each site into it, once we’ve completed tasks. To the right of the summary tab on the bottom are each of the cities, just click on the city and hopefully you’ll see. you have to scroll to the bottom to see them.
From Kristie’s task list:
Chicago
(Maybe we could call these A? So this could be Chicago A task?)
A Set in Chicago (Illinois)
1️⃣ Read a book set in the 1600s.
2️⃣ Read a book with fire on cover or an MC who is a firefighter.
3️⃣ Read a book with the word “Lake” in the title.
4️⃣ Read a book with the title in cursive (it should look handwritten, not printed: no block letters or all caps).
5️⃣ Read a book with a heart on cover or an MC who is a doctor.
6️⃣ Read a book with a MPG of science fiction or magic.
7️⃣ Read a book with dual timelines.
8️⃣ Read a book with both a female author and a female MC.
9️⃣ Read a book that is also a movie or TV show.
🔟 Read a book with one of the words “brownie,” “chocolate," or “treat” in the title.

That’s IF I can read a third book, I should know by end of next week. Dying to read this thriller The Therapist by B.A. Paris
Edited: Ok, forget this one, I don’t need to read for London, no worries.

Thanks, Christina!
