10.10 - Spring Series
Read a book in a series with a series title that begins with a letter in SPRING. Articles (a, an, the) may be ignored. The series name and number must be indicated in the GR title listing in grayscale parentheses following the title.
Ex: Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress #1)
The Twelve (The Passage #2)

Can a book which is #1 in a series be used if #2 isn't published yet?

Unconquerable Sun (The Sun Chronicles #1)

Furious Heaven is listed as #2 in the series with expected publication date August 2022.

(I have other places that I can use this, but looking for all options at this point)

As long as the series name and number is indicated in grayscale parentheses following the title, you're good. So, yes, Unconquerable Sun will work.
