For our 2022 group reads, we will be having alternates for each of our monthly reads. So for March we have chosen two books each - Person/s on cover/No one on cover - therefore members will have four to choose from when you vote in the poll. (Once again, all Aussie authors)

Our choices are:

A Mother's Story by Maggie Christensen A Mother's Story by Maggie Christensen

A lost child. A mother’s grief. A daughter’s journey. What is the chain that links three women’s lives?

In Scotland, in 1941, as World War 2 increases in ferocity, Rhona Begg goes against her parents’ wishes and enlists in the ATS—a decision that brings with it heart-breaking consequences. After the war, weighed down with regret and grief, Rhona receives news that has the power to change her life.

Her Last Hope by Louise Guy Her Last Hope by Louise Guy

Will new friends almost ruined by their husbands find the strength to fight for each other?

Abi’s life has been turned upside down by her husband’s death—in more ways than she could ever have imagined. With his dodgy business dealings now exposed, gone is her glamorous lifestyle and the trust of her family and friends. How could the man who said he loved her have betrayed her so spectacularly?

The Younger Wife by Sally Hepworth The Younger Wife by Sally Hepworth

The moment she laid eyes on Heather Wisher, Tully knew this woman was going to destroy their lives.

Tully and Rachel are murderous when they discover their father has a new girlfriend. The fact that Heather is half his age isn't even the most shocking part. Stephen is still married to their mother, who is in a care facility with end-stage Alzheimer's disease.

The Safe Place by L.A. Larkin The Safe Place by L.A. Larkin

Her heart pounds at the sound of footsteps outside her small cabin in the woods. The snap of a twig tells her someone is close by. As she treads lightly towards the back door, she says a silent prayer—don’t let him find me…
