Well it’s hard to say without detail, but since this is a mafia read it’s a bit darker than I’m used to from these authors especially as their usual reads are paranormal and this is contemporary. You’ll see what I mean ☺️

Regardless of sexual tension or whatever that combined with shoving her face in the toiler and then she found the plans he had for her..... oh no no no, how can she let him touch her? Why can't they just tell her and Frank the truth? These secrets never end well! I was excited when she ran away but that didn't end well. Oh but he threw her in the trunk? - I really thought that ws the real Danny smh, I'd be so pissed. Like petty revenge level pissed if that's all she can do smh! (hide spoiler)]

I love that Anya does everything she can to defy “Danny.” I love how she didn’t hesitate to kill the man who tried to take advantage of her and how all of the men jumped in to protect her. I also love how even though they thought they would hate her they all genuinely care about her. This is getting so interesting and I love it! (hide spoiler)]

75%: (view spoiler)[ I hate that Danny escaped and how he harmed Anya. I love that her and Frank hooked up and how he had to get over the fact her brother had tortured him for fun. I love that they are finally able to tell Frank and Anya who Benny is and how he was acting as Danny. I was glad that Frank finally found out who killed his brother. (hide spoiler)]

Finished: (view spoiler)[Holy fuck the ending to this was so good. I love that Anya gets treated like the boys and ends up going to help them with whatever they need help with. I hated Danny and how he tried to kill all of them including himself. I was glad he got locked up. I was glad Anya killed the Czar because he was just a pervert. This was an amazing book. I don’t know why I’ve been dragging with reading this when I always love these authors. The struggle is real lol especially now that I’ve made progress and the inevitable has happened.

Finished (view spoiler)[Well that was an excellent ending and I’m a sucker for all those extended epilogues 🥰 Don’t know why the end seemed so much funnier to me but Church really turned up the dramatics and it was hilarious. Absolutely crazy how close they all came to death including Danny, I did get a little nervous there for a moment. I still don’t know why I dragged for a bit with this because once I picked it up again (after a long nap) I didn’t put it down lol.

No actually, there’s a HEA, it’s just not an easy road. A first from these authors and funnily enough they make a joke about not writing a cliffy for a change in the afterword lol
