So we have to read a book by that author and one of the tasks listed for that particular week? Am I getting it right?

You just read for the task. So, if you want a certain author to make it to the next round/week, you want to post for the tasks under them.

Y..."
So we read from the task listed under the author not necessarily the author itself?
Ok I’m in for 8 books please!

Correct! The tasks under the author - not the actual author.
Added 😀

Correct! The books just have to fit the prompts.

(New) Authors vs. (Well-Known) Authors Challenge
Just like our Disney vs. Pixar and Marvel vs. DC movie challenges, we decided to do the 'March Madness Bracket' challenge again but with authors.
One side of the bracket will only have categories for well-known authors and the other side will only contain categories for new and upcoming authors. At the beginning of this challenge, we will start with 16 authors on each side.
That being said, a lot is going to be happening during this challenge. In the beginning, you can read for any author’s category. So, for the first week you have about 32 authors to spread your books throughout. Each author will have about 6 tasks within it. However, you don’t have all of the categories throughout the entire challenge.
At the end of each week, authors will be eliminated. This will be based on points per author on each side. How would that look?
**Sorry it looks so small on the sign up, but each team's SS will have a bigger one!
For example,
So, if an author vs. author looked like -
at the end of the week - then Aiden Thomas would be available to read for the next week. Ciannon Smart would be knocked out of the challenge and the tasks are no longer readable.
What if the authors are tied at the end of the week?
Well, if an author vs. author looked like -
at the end of the week - then I would roll the dice (or flip a coin) to see which author would move to the next round. For this example, Ciannon Smart won and has moved on to the next round. Aiden Thomas tasks are no longer available to read.
