Fusion cooking combines elements of different cuisines. Combine the titles of 2 books to form a phrase that makes sense, for instance

Miss Aldridge Regrets Running with Scissors

You could even have more than two:

A Gentleman in Moscow Passing One Hundred Years of Solitude

Joy D wrote: "The Grass Is Singing The Fat Lady's Low, Sad Song"

I think this is my favorite, but they are all wonderful.

These are like poetry! I'm going to move this thread to our Fun & Games section so we can keep it going even though the Read-a-Thon is over!

Wonderful! I don’t know where I got the idea, I thought I would bring it back in another read-a-thon, but adding it to Fun & Games is even better.

This is what was referred to as Spine Poetry, or titles that make a sentence - in the recent Wild Discussion and suggestions threads.

message 39: by Tracy (new)

Tracy | 3002 comments @Robin — that was me that suggested it! When I thought of it I didn’t even know about this game thread, and that there are people who already enjoy writing poems with their titles!

Thanks for activating this, Johanna! I had forgotten about it and chuckled many times rereading these. I even forgot the ones I came up with myself.

Amazing! It's sort of like "Refrigerator Poetry" - where you try to put together the little magnetic words - but a zillion times more complicated.
