Welcome to this month's Hidden Gems challenge!

Hidden Gems is a fantastic way to plow through those mountains of books claiming space in your house or e-reader. I have found that this challenge produces some fun group interaction as well, because someone else chooses which book you’ll read next.

If you sign up, you'll be matched up with a Hidden Gems partner. You will choose a book from the list your partner designates which you have already read and cannot believe your partner hasn’t read yet. Your partner will do the same for you with the list you designate. The point is to find that “Hidden Gem” that you think they’ll love… because you adored it when you read it!

Let us know which books you choose for each other. When you finish reading your gem, let us know what you thought about it. Perhaps your Hidden Gem might find its way to someone else’s wish list!

Match-ups will be created on the 10th of the month. Please choose books for each other by the 13th.

Sign up by telling us which list you’d like your partner to choose from.

Happy reading, friends!

Brittany selected for me:
Autumn by the Sea (Muir Harbor #1) by Melissa Tagg

I picked for her:
All She Wanted (Letting Go, #2) by Nicole Deese

Happy reading all!

message 15: by Jenn (new)

Jenn | 591 comments Hi Sarita, you have a lot of great options on your list! I had trouble narrowing it down. Here are some books from your lists that I've read and enjoyed:
My Stubborn Heart by Becky Wade Fragments of Fear by Carrie Stuart Parks As Dawn Breaks by Kate Breslin Sanctuary Lost (WITSEC Town, #1) by Lisa Phillips Weddings and Wasabi (Sushi, #4) by Camy Tang
Sorry, I know that's five options, but I loved all of these. The last one is a shorter book, and I liked how she finished the series with this one. I hope that you find one you enjoy :)

message 16: by Missy (new)

Missy | 937 comments Hi Charlene -

For you I pick:

Hidden Among the Stars by Melanie Dobson , A Light on the Hill (Cities of Refuge, #1) by Connilyn Cossette , Dear Mr. Knightley by Katherine Reay , and Dangerous Illusions (Code of Honor, #1) by Irene Hannon .

I have read Hidden Among the Stars and Dr. Mr. Knightly and really enjoyed them.

Katrina Lybbert | 886 comments Hi Winter,

Here are my choices for you:

Cascade (River of Time, #2) by Lisa Tawn Bergren
Princess of the Midnight Ball (The Princesses of Westfalin Trilogy, #1) by Jessica Day George Princess of Glass (The Princesses of Westfalin Trilogy, #2) by Jessica Day George Princess of the Silver Woods ( The Princesses of Westfalin Trilogy, #3) by Jessica Day George
The Merchant's Daughter (Hagenheim, #2) by Melanie Dickerson

Fairy Tale retellings is one of my favourite genres to read!

message 18: by Charlene (new)

Charlene | 596 comments Hi Missy thank you I will be reading either A Light on the Hill (Cities of Refuge, #1) by Connilyn Cossette or Dangerous Illusions (Code of Honor, #1) by Irene Hannon but I will keep you posted.

I have only read one book on yours shelf The Fifth Avenue Story Society by Rachel Hauck but I think you may have tried it to save for later. I enjoyed it but it’s not a favourite.

So here are two I have picked because I have enjoyed the authors before
The Way It Should Be by Christina Suzann Nelson and Freedom's Song by Kim Vogel Sawyer

Me too, Katrina! Fairytale retellings are my ultimate comfort read. <3 <3 <3
Lots of good picks so I'm not sure which one I'll choose (except for Princess of the Midnight Ball- I read that one last month ;D)

Hi Winter, thanks for these choices, they look great!

I am going to go with The Lost Heiress (Ladies of the Manor, #1) by Roseanna M. White as it is sitting at #1 on my tbr list and has been there for so long. I will probably wonder why I left it so long. I may try to sneak in Common (Tales of the Mystics, #1) by Laurie Lucking as well. It does sound really interesting! Thanks!

I did try that book in audio, but being from the Midwest I couldn't take the narrator putting a Southern accent on the guy from Nebraska, so had to shelve it and just read later. I think I am going to try The Way It Should Be by Christina Suzann Nelson .

Such a difficult choice, but I feel like reading a new-to-me author this month, so The Weaver's Daughter it is!
