Play Book Tag discussion

I had high hopes for this book having read and loved The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry last week. Two seconds were added to time in 1972 to balance clock time with the movement of the earth. Were these extra two seconds to blame for the mistakes that were made which changed lives forever? Whilst the premise seemed really interesting, unfortunately the story didn’t live up to it. This wasn’t a light read, and it felt a bit depressing at times, dealing with mental health issues, OCD, alcoholism and emotional abuse among other themes. The alternating chapters with different characters in the present-day also meant that the thread of the main plot was continuously interrupted.
