It's your job to self-reflect, go to therapy and do what you can to acknowledge, deal with and let go of whatever trauma or toxicity has been passed down to you through generations.
Otherwise, you will just remain the same. I think the part about confrontation and heart failure means she didn't feel she could speak up and say her truth for fear of giving someone a heart attack.
