Hassan | 52 comments With king Harold on his deathbed, Shrek and Fiona are to become the new King and Queen of Far Far away, but Shrek feels that an Ogre king is not ideal, so Harold tells them to find the next heir: Arthur Pendragon. Meanwhile Prince Charming vows to avenge the death of fairy godmother and goes to the Villan's tavern where he rallies the Villans to fight for their "happily ever after". As Shrek, Donkey, and Puss set off on their journey, Fiona tells him she is pregnant, which causes Shrek to have baby-related nightmares. Once arriving at the magical boarding school, they find that Arthur is a weak and underachieving student. When they attempt to take him back, he fights with Shrek and crashes their boat on an island where they meet Arthur's retired wizard professor: Merlin. Back at the Kingdom Fiona and other princesses are having a baby shower when Charming and his forces take the castle. Charming learns about Shrek's quest, and the girls are captured after Rapunzel betrays them for Charming. On the Island, the Villans try to capture Shrek but are soon defeated. Arthur tricks Merlin into using magic to send them to Far Far away but Donkey and Puss switch bodies in the process. They find Pinocchio who tells them charming plans to kill Shrek in a play and soon after they are captured. To save Arthur, Shrek lies that he was using him, convincing charming to let him leave. Donkey and puss are put in prison with Fiona and the others, where they break out and rescue the other fairytale creatures. Puss and Donkey convince Arthur to return while charming stages a play and attempts to kill Shrek but is foiled when Arthur convinces the Villans to be good. He tries to stab Shrek and seemingly succeeds until Shrek reveals he missed, and the dragon knocks over a prop which kills charming. Arthur becomes king, Puss and Donkey are put back in their own bodies, and Shrek and Fiona have ogre triplets.

I will give this movie 4/5 for its originality, plot, characters, and design. This wasn't as impressive as Shrek 1 or 2, but it was a pretty decent movie.
