Ellie (ileenium) | 4 comments Hi all, when I was really really young (too young to read it), I read a thriller/horror that I would like to reread now as an adult!

My problem is that I can not remember the name of the book or the author. What I do remember is that the story was partly told to us through the view of the unborn fetus. So the story was about an evil baby plotting to kill it from within the womb.

I dont remember much more than this, it stuck with me since it obviously scared the crap out of me. Does this ring a bell, anyone know what this might be? It might be a medical thriller/horror. Probably a more famous author since it was translated into Norwegian. It is at least 20 years old at this point.

Hoping someone might be able to help me with this (crazy) request! :)

Karen (hmssparky) | 200 comments Could it be "The Unborn" by David Shobin?

Netanella | 572 comments Reminds me of the 1974 movie "It's Alive." I can't think of too many horror baby books or movies.

Rosemary's excluded, of course.

Ellie (ileenium) | 4 comments The sleep project part of "The Unborn" seems to trigger some memory, so I will definitely read that one and see if it could be the one! I do not think it's "The fifth child" but I have not read that one and it looks so interesting!
It just gnaws at me that I can't remember. I will update once I've read The Unborn!

Karen (hmssparky) | 200 comments I'm glad that I could be of some help, if for nothing more than pointing you to an interesting book!

Ellie (ileenium) | 4 comments Karen, I've dug around regarding "The Unborn" and it was translated into Norwegian once, and I recognized the Norwegian title as the book I'm looking for! Awesome advice from you, and simply incredible that you were able to figure it out from the few details I could remember about it. Thank you! :)

Karen (hmssparky) | 200 comments Glad I could help, Ellie. It was just a guess for me. I read the book way, way back and your description sounded familiar. I think you'll find that everyone here is helpful; just a splendid group of people!
