The Match question

Peter’s father is one of the “vile men.” And I assume that his mother’s (Sophia’s) father is a related “vile man.”

I have no idea how they’re related. None of it made sense.

I believe Wildes mother was the sister of Peter Bennett grandmother or grandfather.

I was also really confused about this. I understood who Wilde's parents were but don't quite understand his relationship to Peter Bennet. Bennet's father is the cult leader, right? But Wilde's parents aren't related to the cult leader. Very confusing.

Sofia is a relative to Peter's mother, Vicki. If Peter and Wilde are second cousins, then their mother's are first cousins. The book does not do the family tree or clarifies the relationship.
