June | 4 comments I have the same issue and I found that using ebooks is alot easier to hide but if you are looking for an actual book I'd say these books would probably pass the radar:

Hot Dog Girl; Jennifer Dugan
Far from you; Tess Sharpe
She Who Became The Sun; Shelley Parker-Chan
Wilder Girls; Rory Power
Crier's War; Nina Varela
The Midnight Lie; Marie Rutkoski

There's alot more out there these are just a few recs I can think of off the top of my head. I hope you can figure it out with your parents I know it can't be easy

ReadingMermaid | 26 comments Might have some repeats from other ppl's recs bc these are just some sapphic stories I can think of that I really enjoyed but I think they all have pretty discreet covers
-Priory of the Orange Tree
-This Is How You Lose The Time War
-The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
-Last Night at the Telegraph Club
-The Mermaid, the Witch, and the Sea
-Juliet Takes A Breath (maybe a little queer-coded bc the cover is the back of a woman's head w an undercut, but nothing revealing sapphic relationships)
- Gearbreakers (kinda discreet? Cover has 2 women but it's not overtly sapphic looking)
-One Last Stop (prob less discreet, again it has 2 women but not overtly sapphic)

Aja! (jaxonvile) | 1 comments Fingersmith? Jk? But I feel like those who haven't read it don't know how sapphic it is

message 14: by Fiona (new)

Fiona (fiosfairytales) | 8 comments it's already been said but " sweet and bitter magic" is really really good. other than that, there's " her name in the sky " by Kelly Quindlen ( contemporary, check the TWs), this is how you lose the time war ( SF ), the mercies by Kiran Millwood Hargrave ( sad ending, check the tws), girl serpent thorn by Melissa Bashardoust !!!! ( it's like really really good, it's fantasy with morally grey characters, inspired by Persian mythology )
