I have a lot on my plate the next couple months so I will just do my best to go with whatever everyone else decides as long as it is fairly simple. My brain is already half fried from work, haha.

Caitlin (caitlingreer1234) | 1110 comments Karen wrote: "Anyone got a preference for how you want to tackle this?"

I'm on holiday for 2 weeks in April so i'm hoping to get lots read in those 2 weeks but i don't really have a plan! Just gonna try place the books i read with the headers that haven't been used yet! I've also got buddy reads planned so hopefully that's extra points for the team!
Unless you have a plan you want to go with? :)

message 28: by Karen (new)

Karen Barber | 13287 comments I have a tendency to over-organise things but am happy to slot in books where we can if others are happy with that. I might try and focus on one description set and see how we go.
Copied another team's spreadsheet if anyone would find it useful to track reading/remind ourselves of the descriptors. If anyone wants to use it, I'll share the link.

Yes! I love spreadsheets, please share!

Karen Barber | 13287 comments Spreadsheet link -https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

It is intended just for posted reviews.

message 31: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments I think just posted reviews is best anyways. :) Looks good

message 32: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments I am really glad this is a 2 month challenge. Dewey's readathon is on the 30th and I will be out of town where internet sucks and wouldnt have been about to post after the 28th. This way, I still can!

Connie (sunstormsandthunderclouds) | 3978 comments Jamie wrote: "I think just posted reviews is best anyways. :) Looks good"

I agree, it gets a bit confusing if it's non-posted reviews too

message 35: by Connie (new)

Connie (sunstormsandthunderclouds) | 3978 comments I read a lot of graphic novels which I know sometimes can bother people because they aren't worth as many points but I'm gonna post them and then if you wanna switch them out with other books or whatever, I'm cool with that. I've got one manga read already which I'm gonna post now :)

message 36: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Go Connie!! Graphic novels can be so much fun.

As You Wish | 1870 comments I already love your spreadsheet, Karen!

message 39: by Karen (new)

Karen Barber | 13287 comments Copied from one of the other teams. Think it might have been Brandi’s originally.

message 40: by Lucy (new)

Lucy Luu (lovelucyluu) | 34 comments Starting the following books:

1. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
2.Out of Sight, Out of Time by Ally Carter
3. The Haunting by Lynne Ewing

I'm thinking SHOEH could be for task #7 and the others can fit accordingly.

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I have one book read. Need to review it soon. I will be busy for the next week or so because I’m getting a new puppy. I’ll be reading but won’t be on much. :)

message 44: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments You’re getting a second doggy? Awww companion for Ruby?

message 45: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments Yes. A 12 week old Yorkie who’s deaf. ^_^

message 46: by Jamie (new)

Jamie | 12271 comments Awww. You amazing rescuer!!! Gonna be a lot of work but lots of reward. bless you for taking in the little sure-to-be sweetie!

message 47: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) | 22764 comments I’ve never owned a deaf dog so I’m sure it will be full of surprises. But I’ve done research and the breeder assured me she is just like any other dog she just can’t hear.

First thing I’m going to work on is touch. Deaf dogs startle easily so that and potty training are #1

message 48: by Karen (new)

Karen Barber | 13287 comments I would love a dog, but it’s a long way off due to working hours. Genuinely curious about how you’d train a deaf dog.

It's similar to how you train a hearing dog. But instead of voice you use hand signs for everything and they have to be looking at you. That's also very similar to hearing dogs because they should be looking at you when training and you use hand signals for a lot of things. ^_^

Karen Barber | 13287 comments Just started 4 50 from Paddington (Miss Marple, #7) by Agatha Christie which I'm hoping to use as the 7th book in a series. Heavy week for ARC reading, so will try and slot those in where I can. How's everyone else doing?
Does anyone want to try and set up a BR within the group for the categories that require that (68 and 69, I think)?
