Feed Your Readers, the NetGalley Challenge

Duration: Monthly

How to Participate:

The NetGalley Challenge is designed to not only get you to read your NetGalley books, but to also advertise your reviews for others to see because after all, that's what NetGalley is all about.

Though you may pop in/out at any time, the NetGalley Challenge will run on a monthly basis so you are able to see progress being made.

1. At the beginning of the month, post any/all of the following:
a: How many books on your NetGalley shelf
b: What books are on your NG shelf
c: What your Netgalley feedback ratio is

2. During the month, read the NetGalley books that you can AND update your post with your reviews. (You can do this after each book or wait until the end of the month.)

3. At the end of the month, update your post and with:
a: What books you read
b: Link(s) to your review(s)**
c: Your updated shelf count
d: Your updated books to read
e: Your updated ratio

Then start a new post for the next month!

**When linking your reviews, please link only to the book(s) here at GoodReads. At this time, linking to a personal blog is not allowed. Thank you!

Deliciously Healthy Menopause Food and Recipes for Optimal Health Throughout Perimenopause and Menopause by D.K. Publishing my Deliciously Healthy Menopause review - Lots of great information, but the recipes didn't fit in with my personal dietary restrictions and tastes. Still worth a read, especially if you can make some changes to your diet pre-menopause and potentially prevent some symptoms. 4.5 stars

I got that too, but I have it on hold. I remember the last book as so dark and I'm not up for another dark read right now... I'll probably end up accepting because the first one was so good and I want to be kept on their list.

Interesting - I don’t remember it as dark. But they aren’t easy reads. I fell in love with the town and the characters - I was actually considering if I should re-read book 2, or at least skim it, before starting. I do remember book 1 being fantastic and 2 not quite as good

message 27: by Kristie (new)

Kristie | 3595 comments I was thinking the same. I'd probably have to reread the second one. I loved the first book and remember it better than the second. Hmmm... maybe it wasn't as dark (or heavy?) as I recall.

Or maybe it was and I have forgotten. haha!
I remember it delved much more into the politics of the town

Kristie | 3595 comments Third review of the month - After Happily Ever After

Unfortunately this one didn't work for me. I DNF at 42%. The MC was a doormat and I didn't like the decisions she was making. I didn't really care for her at all, so I wasn't invested in her story. By the time I gave up she was still on the downside and hadn't yet started her personal growth that I expect will happen at some point.

I've added two and reviewed two this month so I'm only breaking even so far.

I've reviewed three, but added four, so I'm catching up. As long as I don't add a bunch more!

I've got one more I hope to read so hopefully, even one less is progress.

Kristie | 3595 comments That's true, Lexi. Not sure if I'll manage one more this month, but I'll try! :)

Kristine | 71 comments I just finished You Made a Fool of Death With Your Beauty by Akwaeke Emezi , by Akwaeke Emezi. It’s a different type of book, but I really loved it. Here is my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I think I will finish No Names to Be Given, published 8/21, so another old book out of the way. It is really quite good, just pushed it off for too long.

Connie N. | 738 comments Great job, Kristie! That's my goal--to only have less than 10 on my "to-be-reviewed" shelf at any time. Getting there...

Kristie | 3595 comments Thanks, Connie. I have a couple that I'm considering requesting, plus a couple of widgets I might accept right now, so that may not last long, but I'm trying. :)
