It depends on who's being read in. Those with clearance, who need to know are told. The rest of us...

They are drones. No they are not UFO's. It probably is not nefarious. It is probably military testing because Picatinny is an arsenal and has ARDEC stationed there and they are a weapons development division for the military. Trump also has his golf course there and that is being buzzed and that is either hobbyists or someone trying to get a photo of the like. It could also be Secret Service starting to patrol. All if it is mundane in my opinion.

I agree they're drones. I'm curious who is operating them.

It's possible they are hobbyists. The commentator from the video I linked made a fair point about the cost of drones at the size reported. And I know how difficult it can be to keep that many people quiet.

If it's the Secret Service, why haven't we seen them operating these drones at Mar-A-Lago? Why hasn't there been a press release?

message 855: by Papaphilly (new)

Papaphilly | 5042 comments Secret Service as well as military will not release public announcements on anything of they use. Do not tip your. Around Picatinny is interesting on this course because the base did not lock down, so this is not seen as a threat, which had happened when i visited there for business once.

As for Mara Lago, I have zero idea unless they do fjy and nobody reports it. This could also be a new use for them.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8073 comments It's been determined that these are commercial grade drones flying at low altitudes. People are concerned about their safety and tired of government ignoring them and lying to them. I've long been concerned about drones, and now people are seeing that there's reason to be concerned. I don't like that government obviously knows what's going on, knows that people are worried, and continues to refuse to give an explanation. Why?

If police are watching a bad guys house, do you think they should tell the public? If the FBI is watching a potential terrorists house, do you think they should tell the public? If the military was going to strike a enemy base, do you think they should tell the public? BTW, there have been arrests, did you know that one? Probably not because it did not get wide play.

This link the is the Habitual Linecrosser. He uses humor that can pretty edgy, but he does provide quite a bit of good information explaining why he is mocking something. In this case, about halfway through he explains why it is not foreign attacks with drones. He is a military man and certainly understand what he is talking about.

message 858: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8073 comments We're supposed to believe this guy knows what's going on? And your examples don't make me feel any better; they only make me think there may be something to worry about. But since they're not flying over my house, I've decided not to give a crap. I have more important personal things to deal with which, by the way, I have no control over either.

It was probably the Minoan civilization which dominated the Aegean until they were wiped out by the eruption of Santorini and the associated Late Bronze Age Collapse.

Their removal freed the Greeks to develop the concepts of the Polis, private property, and citizenship which form the foundation of the Western Tradition.

J. Gowin | 7977 comments This is getting weird.

Apparently, Matthew Livelsberger (the Green Beret who blew himself up in a Cyber Truck in front of Trump's Las Vegas hotel) wrote a manifesto in which he claimed (among other things) that the NJ drones were Chinese craft with "electro-gravitic drives".
https://youtu.be/xglaXVtQcis?si=wVA_0...

Obviously, he suffered some kind of mental breakdown and therefore was not a reliable source. Besides it's not like the US Navy holds a patent for an electric drive which screws with gravity and inertia by negating mass?

Oh, wait...

The DOD claims it's only theoretical, if they say anything at all.

Of course, they also claimed that Area 51 didn't exist for decades.

The world of black budget US military tech is a blacked out house of mirrors with "information security officers" lighting "Exit" signs in random spots to further confuse the matter.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 8073 comments I've been watching a series called Lioness about the CIA. Where does the money for black ops come from? There is no accountablility for their actions, it seems, and they're funded secretly by the government. I guess this has been the case for a long time?

message 871: by J. (new)

J. Gowin | 7977 comments There is a congressionally approved black budget. Plus the DOD hasn't passed an audit, ever. That's trillions more dollars. You can also argue that a lot of government contracts are padded with BS overpayments which are actually going elsewhere. And the alphabet agencies have been known to run guns and drugs.

I am betting on not much other than things that may be embarrassing to some of the people involved. I personally seriously doubt that there is a grand conspiracy on any of the murders.

Not all drones are going to be authorized. It does not mean they are terrorists, probably hobbyists being idiots once it hit the news. The early stuff was probably military in nature with testing.

The way the table is laid out, an India v. Pakistan exchange is probably the safest nuclear war because the major powers don't have a reason to care.

If it was Iran v. Israel, the US and possibly the Russians would get involved.

North Korea would come down to whether China wanted to dance with the USA.
