Young Muslim's Book Club discussion

You Truly Assumed has been chosen for our Muslim authored BOTM. What are your thoughts on it?

I'm probably not gonna get my library hold until near the end of the month but I'm really looking forward to it! This is my most anticipated book of the year :)

Are any of you read this book yet?

I just finished it! I wasn't a huge fan of the writing style but it was so nice seeing a book where young muslim woc were the main characters without falling into stereotypes, so I was able to put my reservations about the writing aside. Plus, I did like the writing sometimes, such as in the actual blog posts. I really enjoyed the characters, I liked their personalities and characters arcs overall.

(view spoiler)[The only thing I wish we could have seen was the girls uniting more over religious topics and issues when they talked, instead of just talking about website design, threats, and boys. It would have been nice to see Islam bring them together beyond just the blog! (hide spoiler)]
