Finished : (view spoiler)[I am a bit underwhelmed by that ending. Both Rama and Ravana's characters took a big turn without much explanation provided for it. For those of us familiar with the story, I feel the author should have gone more in depth with the whole kidnapping of Sita scene. I do not know whether Yudhajit's story was a part of Ramayana as well but Bharata definitely did not agree to sit on the throne unlike in the book. I liked that part though because Rama was not put on the high pedestal he is in our tales. Sita's characters was the most underdeveloped in the whole book and I would have liked to see more of her.

I enjoyed the story despite everything though and easily see it as a 4 star read! (hide spoiler)]

I feel since the readers weren't told much about Ravana's evil nature, it was a bit abrupt. In the Ramayana though, Ravana albeit a distinguished scholar has evil tendencies right from the start and kidnapped Sita after being enamored by her so it is difficult for people like me to just believe Ravana to be Sita's father!

Glad you liked it! :) I would have liked to see more of Sita as well!
