The Diamond

Death walks alongside me,
But the reaper is no match for me.
I'm trapped in a world full of monsters dressed as men, and those who aren't as they seem.

The Hunter

I was born a predator,
With ruthlessness ingrained in my bones.
When what's mine is stolen from me in the night,
Like a diamond hidden within a fortress,
I find that I can no longer contain the beast.
Blood will paint the ground as I tear apart this world to find her.
And bring her back to where she belongs.
No one will escape my wrath,
Especially not those who have betrayed me.

24%(view spoiler)[not gonna lie this is a bit much for me. Her getting raped by the creep was gross and revolting enough but this….. no amount of torture returned on these people will ever be enough and swear on my life I will lose it if these people don’t have slow painful deaths. (hide spoiler)]

46% (view spoiler)[ I’ve stayed up till 4 o’clock in the dang morning reading to this point and I really feel shattered. It’s one thing to have a character kidnapped or hear of past abuse but to go through such continual trauma, that was hard man. The author did not hold back in depicting that side of this disgusting world and I hate that humans treat each other as we do, poor Addie. I may have shed some tears 🤫😭 (hide spoiler)]

73% (view spoiler)[Oh my goodness. Well that was slightly vindicating but I probably would have kept them alive for years in my basement after what they did. Francesca really deserved that stiletto shoved somewhere else but I’m glad Sibby gets to play with her. Which just having her back actually makes me happy. She’s deranged for sure but still just a product of what happened to her and it’s hard not to defend her taking out bad guys 🤷🏼‍♀️🤐 (hide spoiler)]

Finished (view spoiler)[This book really did a number on me. Even with Addie free in the second half it was hard to let go of what happened to her. And umm Claire needed to die slower, she’s the mastermind of that organization and she should be bled dry. I thought after all the drama the sex scenes between Z and Addie to just feel off but I think that’s because of lingering trauma and how rough they both liked it. Really the end only has me wanting more of Sibby and where the hell she ran off to? How did she know that guy and why run away with him without a word? Ughhhhh she needs a story now because I kinda love that little psychopath. (hide spoiler)]

Aah you're finished and I just got it downloaded. I attempted last night but my Kindle wasn't cooperating. The warning for this one is intense. And it says it's even darker than the first. OMG

I thought her being the way she was would bring back too many memories for her that she still hadn't gotten over. But I do think they became sort of friends by the end.
