Matthew Kresal | 119 comments Recently for a podcast I'm a part of called The Police Box in a Junkyard, we read Cabinet of Light from the Telos Time Hunter range. I have to say that I really enjoyed it, and the edits from its earlier edition as part of their short-lived Doctor Who novella range were quite minimal. It was an intriguing mix of SF and neo-noir elements in a proto-Doctor-lite story.

It made me curious about the rest of the range. My fellow hosts ironically covered the finale awhile back (the premise of the podcast is going through Doctor Who stories in different media in a totally random order) and had good things to say about that book. I was curious to see if anyone else has read the books and what they made of the series.

I really liked Cabinet of Light, but as with most series with different authors, the quality of the stories varied wildly.
