Jeez, I struggle to sleep when it’s over 68*F lol. I love WDW but hate Florida. Our UK trip was great, but we had to ask to change to a room on the bad view side of the hotel, blocked by other buildings, because the room got so hot!

I am on hold for it and it should be the hardcover version when I am able to pick it up. I’m hurrying through Book of Cold Cases now and hope to read it after. If someone else faster is interested and reads it before I can I am fine with that. I’ll keep you posted. We had a rough work at week this week and now I’m in a pool tournament. I’ll be reading in downtime :-)

Yes, unfortunately climate is changing and the heatwaves are becoming more frequent over here.
Yesterday I slept with 84,5 F and woke up like I took a swim in my sleep lol !

Lol, fans and ac are rare in hotels here. Glad they could move you even if it was to the ugly side.

Oh no, hope the pool tournament is making ip for the work week and there isn't a hangover from it into next week.

The swings in temperature seen more extreme too. We have a few days hot, then it drops hugely and back up so you have no time to acclimatise.

If you manage to defeat this monster be prepared to answer "how are you still alive" every time you tell the story. just finished order of the phoenix! cranked my audio speed up to 3x for the first time ever but since i've probably read that book 20 times i was actually able to keep up lol

What a difference a couple days makes! All last week we had temperatures in the mid-upper 90's and it was so terribly hot. Today, it has been in the low 60's and I had to turn the fan off because I was too cold. LOL It was kind of nice to have a chance to curl up in my blanket to read today. Wonder what the coming week will bring...

YAY! I finally finished The Book of Cold Cases. Now I can start on Master and Margarita this week.

I need to finish The Master and Margarita 😬 I'm loving the book, but it needs concentration, and I can't seem to work up any lately.

Having a look through my books to see if anything fits and just wanted to check, for the musical instrument on cover task would a microphone count? I don't actually have the book but was thinking might cover off tasks 3,4 and 5 of Cerberus.

Hmmm, I don’t think we can count that, as it’s not considered a musical instrument. :(

It seems like the kind of task where there should be a book that fits at least those 3 tasks so I had a search and found



I have a couple of other books I need to read first (library ebooks with less than a week left on the loan and a wait list) but I should be able to get to it eventually if no one else has anything.

For T40 Read a book where the MC owns a cow or dog, my charcters own 2 wolves as pets. Does that count?

If JL's wolves don't work, I just put one on the spreadsheet where the MC owned a dog.

Hi everybody! I’m sorry I haven’t been really active lately here in the group and updating the spreadsheet with what I read. It has been a rough week as We just learned my mom has fallen very ill with an aggressive form for MS. So it’s been very hard.

But I’m still reading a lot and adding books to my shelf, since I can to that on the app. But It’s hard keeping up with the spreadsheet and group chat consistently right now. So I just wanted to let you guys now that if you are missing books for some tasks, feel free to check my shelf if there is something you could use. I know its putting extra work on you guys, and I’m really sorry about that.

I'm with Steven on this, but if it works for the other tasks, it is still v useful to have.

I wouldn't count wolves where the task is specifying particular animals. Think this would need to be a dog or a cow so may well use Denise's instead. Thanks for searching and doublechecking though.

Oh no Mia, that's really hard. I hope you and your family are finding a way through and will be thinking of you. Do what you can, and if you can manage to read and pop in once a week to say hi that's fantastic. If you are able to do more, great, but whatever works for you.

Will also understand if you want to drop your book total for the next 2 months and step back a bit.

So, I am reading The 13-Story Treehouse and I am LOVING it. So glad you mentioned it. I'll suggest it to my niece (but it may be a little young for her.) I hope I can convince my library to get the others in the series.
