So glad I didn't! Just finished Ch 2 and I'm already obsessed. The settting with the teatre, plays and mcs as performers. The reluctant fake dating, the anger between them and putting on show for Paparazzi.

Im in love with Lainie and look forward to finding to find out whats got a stick up Richard's ass hopefully soon... Can't wait to read more xx

"Are you firing him?" Her voice squeaked as if she had uttered the most outrageous profanity. Voiced the great unspoken. The mere suggestion of firing Richard Troy was the theatrical equivalent of hollering "Voldemort!" in the halls of Hogwarts. He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Missed.

Yes! So many great lines. The way he mentioned her overacting scene when whispered to her. And her saying he has the diplomatic abilities of a tea bag 😂

The whole book is mostly highlighted on my Kindle 🤣

Lol I'd be the same. I've just borrowed ebook on libby, but so mamy wonderful lines to highlight very deserving. The writing is amazing 😊

I'm also enjoying the focus on more serious themes too and my heart just broke for Lainie when she talked about Hannah.

Also how much similar they're at times, both can be brutal and i loved how they bounced off each other during the interview - defending one another.

Lol no worries. I just got into it and so easy to read, i am starting to like Richard more but still want to know why he is such a dick for no apparent reason so far 😂

I only managed chapter 4 so far 🙈 I love it, but this week is proving to be super stressful

Finished chapter 6. The boys are too adorable when her mom tries to throw them out of the apartment. I love how Richard goes all mushy over sick Lainie. Poor baby. Caught feelings...

Yes! I adored how Richard kept checking in on her, the soft feels and talkingn about the play/Will just being silly together.

I loved the close of that chapter with the fever ramblings being over and her getting her sass back. I loooove the teasing between them

Finished ch 9

I adore their relationship growth so much, all of the teasing and admiration for each other. Learning their backstories and such sweet moments. Richard sword fighting with the kids and meeting Lainies family, Lainie sorting the pie for his birthday 💕

I don't even mind that its basically a closed door romance too.

Sorry, I'm still behind you. I had classes all week (including today - boooooo!) and gahhh. Online learning is not fun.

Anyways. I finished chapter 8. I completely forgot about his sad childhood story. I like that it's not an excuse...

And oh the channeling Cpt Hook 🤣🤣🤣 hilarious. I love how he panicked when the multitude of identical brothers was after him in his head. Poor baby. I love how one of them accepts his "your sister keeps telling me I'm an ass, and I trust her judgment" 🤣 priceless

I agree! I love that his childhood wasn't used as an exuse for how he is, as seen that happen so many times. Its refreshing...

I finished chapter 9. I'm supposed to be doing an English class this afternoon, but I think we can safely say that is just a tad redundant 🤣🤣🤣 I've been reading for the past hour and a half...

I really hate the stupid conflict. I mean. Lainie! Come on...
Also, why did Will have to be an even bigger ass than he already was?

But I do love that she doesn't just give up but keeps fighting for them. I love her as a heroine

It was silly true, but every romance seems to have one and I didn't mind this much - it didn't last long enough to bother me. Will seems classic dick of an ex, so his actions were no surprise...

Lol I mixed up where i was, only just finished ch 9 and see what you mean the conflict now.

It's over the top and rather ridiculous that she came out with that, obvious Will would go to tabloids didn't surprise me at all. Richards reaction is understandable.

I've just finished it and sad to say the last few chapters did drop my rating, it turned very over the top dramatic and very soap opera.I mean we already had the Hannah impact with Lainie and Richards parents backstory.

But a cave in the theatre, suicide reveal tabloids, break up, the assault on Lainie... Just so many ridiculous events and drama thrown into those last few chapters, felt like another story.

Also the ending felt very abrubt, i thought i must have missed something but nope just jumps from the hospital into epilogue them married off page.

Still I did adore the characters, setting, fake dating and all of the humor 💕

Oh yay! Agreed, the ending does get a bit dramatic, but I still feel it fits the setting. I will keep my five stars.

But I'm glad you still enjoyed it!!
