A short list of all audios.

Top Read

Sharpe's Regiment - Bernard Cornwell
A really fun Sharpe adventure. Sharpe and Harper have to go back to England to get more troops for their undermanned regiment. Listened to the audio which was well narrated Frederick Davidson.

Good Reads

A Point of Law - John Maddox Roberts
Another enjoyable adventure featuring Decius Cecilius Metellus the younger. Decius is moving up in world of Roman politics but, just days before he is to be elected to praetor, an unknown fellow citizen accuses him of corruption. Lots of political intrigue and historical details, along with the always great narration of John Lee, made this an entertaining listen.

The Under Dog and Other Stories - Agatha Christie
Collection of short stories featuring Hercule Poirot which was enhanced by the narration of David Suchet and Hugh Fraser.

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9500 comments Sandi, I just finished listening to Agatha Christie's first Poirot, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, narrated by Hugh Fraser, and he did a wonderful job imitating Suchet's Belgian accent -- I felt like Poirot was in the room. I'm thinking about working my way through the Poirots... I miss that fussy little man. Watching on PBS helps.

I have been slowly working my way through her books for the first time. I don't know why I never read any when I was younger. My sister read quite a few but I missed out. Like you, really enjoy the narration of the audios.

So glad the tax deadline has passed. This was the first year that I had to completely shut down reading and audio books. I just zoned out with podcasts for the last three weeks when not working. The group read Nine Lives was a good way to get back into the swing of things.

Mary Jo (serenemillie) | 138 comments Hi Carol, Many years ago I devoured Agatha Christie's books. Now I'm addicted to audio. Hugh Frazer is the perfect narrator especially if you remember him as Poirot's sidekick in the TV series. You tempt me to read the mysteries again.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16956 comments Sandi, Makes sense! I find podcasts good for times I just can't concentrate on a book that I want to read when I am more focused.
Glad you are past the most intense part!
