Tease! I thought we were getting the theme early :)

Going good on our team.

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Week 2

Option 1 Theme:

10. Teacher/student romance (stated in the precis or shown on listopia or shelf) - does not require both MCs to be a teacher &/or student. One MC as either is sufficient.
Optional lists:
Student Teacher Professor Romance
Best Teacher Student Romance
Teacher Student Relationships?
Teacher Student Romance 2014
Teacher Student Romance shelf
Teacher Student shelf

Option 2 Key Date:
31 October 2014

Please ensure you follow the format shown in msg 3 of your team threads.

The lists included in the theme option are... optional :) If the blurb on the book's GR page clearly shows or mentions that the MC is a teacher or a student you can use this for 'How It Fits'. You may also use lists and shelves that clearly indicate that 'teacher' or 'student' is a theme.

I realised that as soon as I looked up the number the randomiser pulled! *shrugs* I'm not fighting the randomiser ;)

LOl - sorry I'm going through all the threads :)

I know the intent is there, but I really need a list or shelf with either 'teacher' or 'student'.

Vi | 2795 comments Jane, double confirming - a book with a college student would work right? I'm looking at The Hook Up (Game On, #1) by Kristen Callihan

LaurLa | 5088 comments Jane - will this work for student? I have a back-up if not, this is just my first choice cuz, you know, it fits with other challenges ;-)

Playing for Keeps - it's a series about college students but it doesn't say so in the blurb but there are people who shelved it as college.

I'm going to say no :( I'd like to see it shelved/listed as teacher.

LaurLa, Playing for Keeps is #16 on the Student Teacher Professor Romance list :)

That would work - so long as teacher is in there somewhere :)

Yes - having both the professor and students in the precis get it over the line, even though it isn't a romance.

Vi | 2795 comments Thanks, Jane! It was a great book so I'm glad it works :)

Will Darkness Dawns (Immortal Guardians, #1) by Dianne Duvall be acceptable for this week's theme? The blurb says, " Once, Sarah Bingham's biggest challenge was making her students pay attention in class...." The MC is a music teacher.

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments This question was asked in one of the threads, so I have copied it over here for everyone to see:

Q: For the #4. Select a book for your team-mate from their TBR, can I create my own 'to-be-read' shelf (not the official GR TBR shelf) for my team-mates to select from? eg 'to pick from' or the one I use for Meet n Greet?
A: Yes - for theme #4, you can select the shelf that your teamies pick from. So if it's call TBR or 'to pick from', I don't mind :)

***

Of course, theme #4 may not turn up this round, but it's good to have the ruling out there...

Yes. You can select whichever shelf on your bookshelf for your teamies to pick from - if it's all MM or all mystery, doesn't matter. BUT only ONE shelf can be put up.

Lisa (mooselover) | 2724 comments Jane, im thinking for this weeks theme the MC needs to be seeing 2 people at the same time and they dont know about the other. It cant be a MMM relationship.
What about in the end if the 3 of them decide on a relationship but throughout most of the book they are 2 seperate relationships.
Im struggling to come up with an MM book. No list available.

I had a hard time too Lisa, went through the whole "Love Triangle Shelf" which is just any book ever tagged as love triangle. There were quite a few M/M books that I saw. It's just a major time suck, and worst part is I didn't even end up picking a M/M book. LOL
