But going off of what I was saying earlier in the RP. I think it would be neat if Ford's first heroic act as a U.A student was saving a former U.A student. Kinda a "It all comes together" type moment. Plus it would help open his eyes a bit to realize he needs to focus on more then just his family.

Akio's quirk is basically Deku's mom's quirk, mixed with Uravity's. I call it "Graviton"in other words she see a small object she can move no problem, but bigger ones she needs to fovus on. Her down side is if she over uses it...she hurls...like mama.

nah. I'm going more so by the logic of "Since deku didn't get a quirk from his mom, his daughter does." So One For All is still a quirk tat needs to be passed down instead of "Oh hey I'm born with it!" AKA turning this special quirk....into basically every other quirk out there.

one for all isn't something that can really be inherited anyways, even its properties of it would be impossible to inherit. I imagine since it's a quirk that has to be passed down willingly, it doesn't really affect the sex-linked traits that would make it possible to pass down the quirk.
I'd imagine it'd be the same for any quirk given to someone by all-for-one. Since it's not something they are born with and is given to them, it doesn't affect the sex-linked traits and therefore cannot be passed down. Unless, of course, you'd genetically engineer them then it's possible since you could edit sex-linked traits.

so, for example, aoyama wouldn't be able to pass down his quirk reasonably following that logic.

that last bit about editing the genes is considered morally unethical by the way, it's what hitler wanted to do to create the "perfect" aryan race.

editing stuff like that is pretty dangerous as well. there is no telling how it'll affect the next generation. kind of like how purebreds have all kinds of issues due to not having any genetic variation.

that's just my own theory as to why it can't be passed down. though, seeing as it canonically can't be passed down in any sort of way as explained before, it's probably the most scientific way to explain as to why it's not possible.

a lot of logic is actually applied to quirks in the show so it would make sense.

I suppose it's just..the way they explain it in the anime and manga it sound like it needed to be GIVEN, not be born with. So considering someone in the group made a character who is the son of All might, and has one for all as his quirk when technically speaking Deku would be the only one to have it kinda messed with my head and I'm muttering like Deku aren't I?

(view spoiler)[ Oh nono, the quirk definitely needs to be GIVEN. It's explained that it has to be. It can't be passed down. Otherwise, the holder before toshinori, her child would have some aspect of the quirk, as well as probably many others. It's not possible to be passed down through genetics at all, even if it's just a small aspect. It's not just the way they explain it and it being able to be interpreted however, it's canonically stated as a FACT that it's not possible. As to why, I don't believe they go into the specifics, so i guess as to why can be interpreted as whatever you want, hence my own theory. However, it doesn't matter how it can be interpreted, it definitely needs to be passed down.
The original holder, of his quirk was to be able to pass down the quirk to whoever he wanted, which merged with the quirk given to him by All for one, his brother. He originally thought to not have a quirk, however, it's simply just that his quirk wasn't something that you'd know about without a second quirk { the ability to pass one's quirk to another. }
But, in the beginning, it is explained why it's dangerous to reveal the true nature of the quirk because then people would target the holder in attempt to force them to pass the quirk down to them.

Toshinori would have lost all aspects of the quirk itself even before deku finished highschool, so deku would have had to pass one for all directly to toshinori's descendant rather than it being inherited. (hide spoiler)]

which is why it isn't possible for there to be two holders as well. the previous holder holds onto the remnants for a bit, but they soon lose all of all for one as they pass it down and as time goes on, meaning the person they pass it down to is the current 'true' holder. The 'remnants' they hold would kind of be like shadow pain. The wound isn't there anymore ( in this case, the quirk ) but they can still feel it ( they still can sort of use it. )

yeah. i doubt deku would ever pass it down to someone with a quirk, as he knows the struggle of how it is to be quirkless. It's not really in his character to do something like that.

Actually fun fact I was originally gonna have Ford be Deku's successor but then I thought "It might be too early for that." And thus Ford became who he is from that simple thought.

I usually don't have one-for-all in my second gens since I can't see deku trying to pass it down or find a predecessor until he knows he needs one, similar to how toshinori waited so long even after getting seriously injured. But I do allow them in my third gens and such, so yeah.

reason for this: by the time second gens role around, deku would still be pretty young. Like, at least early fourties. as a hero, he'd be pretty healthy and everything and probably in his prime, hence why i can't imagine it.

Same actually hence I made up a quirk that would be just as hard on Ford. Gale Force. A wind quirk that would belong to the number three hero who simply goes by his quirk name.

i am planning to remake one of my old groups.
before, it was a my hero second gen ( the first one was from like, 2018 on my old goodreads account and the remake I made in February of 2021 )
but since i do so many second gens and I'm already in this one so i don't need another one for now,
i was thinking about doing something different? like, maybe something either MUCH later down the line or something from when quirks first started appearing?
but with the general base of mha universe.
I wanted to see what you guys thought? ( mostly so I can make a decision lolol )

Yeah I'd say maybe 6 or 5 at the min. Not many people, including myself, can put 10 sentences of detail.

yeah, i figured lolol.
i'm used to only roleplaying with my friend group or similar, who are all semi-advanced and above. ( they are usually in all my groups, somewhere around 5-10 people ) so that's why lolol.
i'm also sick of people joining my groups and abusing the fact that it's only five sentences and writing baby sentences to get by, when I have it as five sentences because I want at least a small paragraph for responses rather. Baby sentences are no better than one-liners in my own opinion
( i've been roleplaying for about eight years now and I guess i've just gotten very picky over the years lolol. I've learned to be a little more tolerant, but honestly, this group in itself was probably a huge leap for me. I've tried before a few times, but i think this is the first group i've stayed in for this long that doesn't have a sentence requirement and everything )

I actually like this group too so lol
my friends on my other platforms probably wouldn't have believed it if I told them ( particularly the ones who have known me for years on amino and knows how i get about roleplaying with illiterates. like, istg, i'd probably flip if someone nya'd at my character or did something involving 'heat' directly at me. )
