Well I am not to sure what to think of this book to be truly honest. It is the first book I have ever read from Linda Castillo and to be frank, I at first found it to easy of a read. Almost like a children's novel for age 12. That is what I thought at first. I was having a hard time as I was reading this on what I should rate it as once I finished. Now I am finished and still don't know if I should really be rating it at 5 stars. 4 seems to little as I did enjoy the story.

As I picked up this book, got it from a Goodreads Giveaway which I am proud of, I entered with a clear mind. To not judge it by the first couple of chapters. Was hard to do that as I have mentioned but I figured to give it a shot. In the end I could not put this book down. Yes it was an easier read but it is her type of style, I began to see that, and I really appreciated the German and the explanations of the words on what they meant. That is huge as some would have just left it but not Linda. She did a great job of explaining the meanings behind them, the Amish culture and traditions, and everything had a reason in the end. This murder mystery had me guessing until the end and I loved the little twists that she threw into the story. In the end it is a very well written novel and for someone who has never read a book from the Kate Burkholder series, it does leave me wanting to read more of Linda Castillo's books. A must read? Maybe!

With this book set to be released in July I would say to everyone who loves a little mystery in their life to give this one a chance. You won't feel let down by it but would be brought on a great adventure I am sure. Give it a try once you see it in stores.
