That's what I had heard. I'm looking forward to seeing how their partnership grows. I already have the next books on my IRL shelf and am thinking that I'm far enough ahead in my other challenges that I may just read for fun a bit and catch up to where Michael Connelly is.
This is the 29th book of the Harry Bosch Universe but he isn't in this one. This book introduces a new character, who I like, Renee Ballard. I'm a BIG Michael Connelly fan (hence me being at book #29 in his universe) and this one didn't disappoint. It follows the same recipe that he uses for all of his books.
This time it follow Renee Ballard. A young woman who was a detective but fell in disgrace when she accused a Lieutenant of being inappropriate. She was assigned to a post on an over night shift called the Late Show. There are a couple of cases that are followed in the book. One that she is working and one that she is on the periphery of. Both go sideways.
If I remember right (I read the book last year) Renee makes a cameo in the next book which sets up books #31 and 32 that feature both Renee Ballard and Harry Bosch.
