What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I LOVED this picture book when I was younger. It involved a family of mice and perpetual rain which started to drown our their house. They used pots and pans and other little things(such as large leaves) to try and keep the waters away.

Another clue I can offer is that I read it probably about 10+ years ago (so it wont be anything new)

I also remember that they lived either underground or beneath a tree.

The illustration was great!

Does anyone know the book I speak of? I appreciate the help!

hmm... still nothing eh? Yeah this is a real toughy. I have been banging my head on the wall for well over a few months. I just can't remember.

Another detail that might help is that it was not hard cover...not too many pages.

Sara, Sometimes it takes months for a member to find a book here. Don't give up! Most take a number of days as members often don't read these posts every day. Also, there are always new members in here and sometimes it's a new member that knows a particular book. A few hours is nothing in this group! Very rarely are books found that quickly. It happens but it's not the norm.

Oh I know! I've just been super lucky before :P This group has been great and I have solved 3 books rather quickly in the past.

I'm not losing faith in the group, I'm just frusterated with myself for not remembering!:P

I remember having a picture book about Fivel - the mouse from the movies - that there was a flood and they rode around in pots and pans but again can't find the name of the specific book. Hopefully, this will help you find it.

Hi Monica, I do not think that is it but thank you for offering that idea!I looked up fivel and he wasn't a character in this book I'm thinking of I'm afraid! Thank you though!
