The next series of questions relate to Molly & Jones/Grady Morant

We know that Molly is older than Jones but we don’t know by how much. However, Molly is the one who is subconscious about it, Jones/Grady not at all. This is the second relationship where the heroine is the older one in the couple. Is Brockmann expressing the reality of that time (2002) or is it a product of her imagination?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I wish they had told us their ages. From the descriptions, I felt like there was 10 or more years between them. I know Molly had a grandchild.

I personally know two couples where the wife has more than 10 years on her husband. It is a reality. I just don't think it happens a lot. Brockmann has been writing for many years. When she started, a lot of romances featured a hero 10-15 years older than the heroine. Maybe she just wants to see more books that have a mature heroine?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments The norm is a hero a few years older than the heroine. Brockmann is bucking that trend in this series it seems. I get that she is about busting stereotypes, and this is just the first of many she tackles.
