Even if you believe in a cause, it would be so hard to spy on the Germans knowing they will kill you if they learn what you're doing. I probably wouldn't have lasted long, especially if I had to answer an unexpected question. I'm not a good liar.
My biggest problem at 18 was if I would be able to crash a class I needed to get into. I can't even imagine the courage it took to do what she did.
Rose has to decide that she will become a double agent for the US at a very young age after having been forced to be a spy for the Germans during WWII. Do you think you’d have had similar courage under those circumstances?
