Roske Roske (roskechronicler) | 7 comments Hi friends,

I'd like to make an "Author seeking Readers" post, but given the unusual nature of my book, I'm not sure which category is best (and I don't want to spam too many genre boards!)

If there's a right way to go about this, please let me know!

Cheers,

Lester Fisher | 215 comments I can't help you until you describe what you think your genre is. For example, my memoir crosses a lot of genres, History, romance, science, adventure, tragedy, comedy... as most people's lives would.

I will admit, I got in trouble with the goodreads staff for "spamming" too many discussion groups. One good thing about goodreads, there are lots of different discussion topics, so you can chose any that might be pertinent to topics in your book.

Roske Roske (roskechronicler) | 7 comments Thanks Lester!

It's an Austen-esque, literary, science-fantasy/speculative fiction historical romance. It's also been described as a "concept novel" — like a concept album — due to its density and theming.

Editorial reviewers tend to share my trouble with accurate comparisons, so marketing has been difficult. I'm hoping to find an audience who enjoys being a little... challenged (?) while reading, but I'm not sure where to begin!
