Hey y'all, so I see a lot of recommendations for mlm dark academia book recs ( which is good ofc ), but i don't see a lot of GOOD wlw dark academia book recs, so if you have any, I'm in :)

I really liked A Lesson in Vengeance by Victoria Lee! I've also read good things about Plain Bad Heroines, although I've never read it.

I’m not sure if Plain Bad Heroines quite counts as dark academia, although it certainly overlaps so depending on what appeals to you about DA it may work for you. I think Catherine House might be wlw although I haven’t read it. Generally speaking though, it’s a pretty fledgling genre and is still fairly male centric as far as the protagonists go. I’m a bit tempted to rec Gideon the Ninth because in some ways it very much does fit the bill but it’s also very much not what you think of when you think of dark academia
