Two questions - Is poker face acceptable or do you want poker being played? Character is not playing a game but just referring to showing her emotions more than she wanted to.
And I found 'watching the basketball game.' Aye or nay for 'watching the game' hunt phrase?

"Poker face" refers to the game of poker, in that a player who displays no emotion or reaction is a better bluffer.
And any reference to watching a game, either on TV or in person, is accepted. (My Dad didn't play sports, but he was an avid WATCHER of sports.)
