Final thoughts and reviews if you like on Blindsighted (Grant County, #1) by Karin Slaughter Blindsighted by Karin Slaughter

Kerri_M | 785 comments Finished - I have read some of this series in the past - probably about 15 years ago. However had not read this 1st in the series, and it did fill in some gaps for me from what I remembered of the other books. Can't imagine what I was doing reading books out of order back then!

I enjoyed this one, but it was a bit too graphic for me in places, so ★★★☆ for me. I have a feeling that the other books I had read were also a bit on the graphic side... and that memory had faded. Guess I will find out as I work my way through the series "properly"

I read this series a long time ago too Kerri and can't remember detail. I do remember I enjoyed it though :)

Kylie H | 1256 comments There are certainly some very graphic details in this book, not one to read while eating breakfast (as I often do!). But still got me in hook, line and sinker! The one thing I was annoyed about was not getting a perspective on Lena towards the end, that felt unfinished to me but I guess it may follow in book 2.

Good to know!

Carolyn | 2086 comments Just finished this. I've read most of Karin Slaughter's Will Trent series and mer Sarah Linton before in that but this is the first of her Grant County series I've read.

The characters and their backstories are strongly written and I'd like to see what happens to them next, especially poor Lena who survived such a hideous ordeal and must have been left with PTSD and a desire to leave the police force.

It was pretty graphic in places, perhaps more than it needed to be but I think the author the author's books are always pretty dark and gritty and this killer was a pretty messed up psychopath.
