plot one

The daughter of Katniss and Peeta, Tara Mellark has been put into the hunger games with her best friend, only friend and crush. (insert name of choice) Hawthorne son of Gale. The reaping was rigged so Tara was chosen and (name) Volunteers in the boy that was reaped place so he can protect her.


plot two

a hybrid of snow's creation, (name) (last name) is half snake and half human, a naga. He is the only nice one in the arena and desides to help Tara win the games.

Name : Jon Hawthorne

Looks : I hate finding pictures for characters, Mind if I just describe it?

Jon is a tall person, towering at 6'3" he is rather skinny but has decent muscles thanks to working in the mine almost all the time. He has rather long, black hair that flows slightly and stubble as a beard but he has no other defining facial features. His eyes are blue and constantly appear as if he is observing everything around him, usually because he is.

Personality : Jon is a kind, caring soul who is extremely protective of his friends. For this reason, he gets into fights a rather large amount with others over what he thinks is right. He constantly observes what is occurring around him waiting for something to happen.

Age : Sixteen {16}

Talents : Jon is extremely strong for someone of his age and therefore can lift heavy objects. He is also adept with using clubs as weapons because he likes to mess around and "Train" with his friends just incase he is ever in the games.

Tara woke up on the bright Monday morning of the reaping day, only three more and she will be safe. She got up and dressed. Checked her phone and then grabbed a small loaf of bread from the counter. She went out and walked to the district 12 gate, slipped through it and went to go and find Jon.

Jon was already out, sitting on a fallen log a little while away. He had his eyes closed but it still appeared as if he knew everything going on around him, he was weird like that. He heard muffled footsteps coming towards him and without opening his eyes he spoke. "Morning. Bout time you got out here, I thought you weren't going to come." He said

''Sorry, couldn't be bothered to get out of bed.'' she giggled ''guess what i got.'' she said, sitting next to him.

"You know I'd rather not guess blindly." He said, opening his eyes to look at her. His eyes analysed her, looking her up and down. He smiled at the sight of her, he had always liked her being around him, she was friendly to him.

she took the bread from behind her back and split it in half ''Happy hunger games, and may the odds be ever in your favor.'' she said in her perfect capitol accent that she had mastered whilst visiting the capitol every year.

Jon laughed at her act, still watching her with his observant eyes. "If you're not careful you'll end up becoming one of them one day, you sure as hell sound like one." He said with a laugh. He wondered if he was going to be chosen, he didn't think she could in any way so it would just be him with some other stranger. "Well hopefully I won't be taken away from you today." He said, still smiling.

She giggled, but was still scared she would become one of them. ''I think it would be more likely for me to be taken away from you.'' she replied, dreading that would happen.

"You can't be chosen can you? How does that work? They won't let you go there I hope, you're a bit of an idol to the Capitol." He pointed out. "No. They won't." He sian, trying to reassure himself.

She smiled ''I suppose so, but then again, Ocean got reaped and she was more loved then me'' (ocean is Finnik's daughter) she replied, sure that she would be reaped.

"Yeah well she wasn't the child of the two most famous and loved champions of the arena, they love you, and there will be riots if you go." He pointed out, with a reassuring smile. He hoped to God he was right.

She nodded a little ''fair enough, but.'' she stopped and sighed ''urgh i hate it when you're right.'' she giggled and finished eating her bread.

"But what if I go?" He asked her, pausing to think now. "No one will volunteer for me. And at this age the chances I'll go are pretty large." He pointed out to her.

''You have a lot less chance of getting reaped. you don't take any tesserae whilst others your age take like five.'' she pointed out

He looked to the floor, he looked guilty all of a sudden, he had forgotten to tell her. "Yeah... About that..." He said, he had taken out one, he saw people ill and hungry and had given all that he had received to them. "I'm sorry..." He whispered

She sighed and looked at him and stood up ''come on, reaping's in 20 minutes and no doubt I'm gonna have to wear a dress again.'' she scowled

He felt that she was angry at him, but hoped she wasn't. He got up and walked with her back towards the district. "If I go..." He began before pausing, he needed to remain positive as much as he could, he couldn't go.

She smiled reassuringly ''you. will. not. go. I promise.'' she hugged him and left, walking back to her house in victor's village.

Jon walked over to the courtyard, he waited in there for the crowds to gather. He was nervous, extremely nervous. He was standing there, not anywhere near his friends.

Tara was forced to wear a dress http://www.simple-dress.com/media/cat... and was not happy. She went to the courtyard and waited for Effie to call the girl's name. Not to her surprise, it was her. She showed no fear as she walked on stage. Effie, who had known her since she was a baby smiled at her kindly and cried a little. She hugged her lightly then went to the bowl containing all of the names of the boys.

Moms eyes widened when he heard Tara's voice get called. He didn't say anything though, he knew what he had to do. When the boys name was called, Jon busted out at the top of his voice. "I volunteer as tribute!" He said, walking forwards towards the stage. He was escorted onto the stage, what the hell had he done? He'd doomed himself to death.

Tara looked at him with a look that asked him 'why? I'm not worth it' and turned back to effie who was chattering on until they were taken into the justice building.

Jon didn't expect many to come. His parents, well, they weren't around anymore so it was just him left. He had a friend come along, who was extremely annoyed that he volunteered, but he knew why he had.

Tara's parents didn't need to come since they were her mentors. She had no one visit her since her only friend was Jon. She Sighed and just stared out of the window.

Tara walked onto the train and saw Jon. She ran and hugged him ''Why did you do that?'' she asked softly

He hugged her back. "I'm not letting you go." He whispered, he cared too much for her to let her leave this way, he wanted to ensure she survived these games

She sighed and pulled away "only one person wins the games, that person WILL be you."

"Hah." He scoffed. "You think I'm going to win and let you lose? You're an idiot if you really think that. You're going to win this,moot me. I will guarantee that and don't you dare try and make me go against it." He told her

She rolled her eyes "I am not going to win. You are." She told him stearnly.
