The Song of the Lark
question
Finding an old book I read similar to song of the lark

book about a violin prodigy
it was a love story, I think? I remember it having some kind of twist at the end but the only other detail is I remember is the the violinist had a teacher (her first teacher) who was a very good teacher and was the person who recognised her prodigy but she ended up moving on to another teacher because he was not able to teach her beyond a certain skill level. I also remember that the teacher's dad wanted him to be a soloist but he wasn't good enough, and wasn't even good enough to make first chair. I also think he played for the London philharmonic? I'm sorry I realise this is very vague. I believe that the father of the prodigy was essentially forcing her to play and she ended up not playing.
I also remember this one scene where I think someone asks her if she gets nervous before performances and she says something like no bc she gets so lost in it
I think it was written in the late 1900s 1980s-1990s maybe? Could be early 2000s
