I'm trying to not be sad about dropping off son but instead focus on how much more reading time with one kiddo at home... LOL! Plus, he's so excited, it's infectious.

I get to do the same thing in a couple weeks. It's going to be quite an experience I'm sure lol.

My BIL said that it hit him pretty hard. He said no one prepares you for it. It's been such a busy week with not much sleep so hopefully I'll be too tired to shed crazy tears.

LOL - it's actually my daughter and she will be a 25 hour drive away. We're in Phenix, and she will be going to school in Cedar Rapids, IA. Yours? How far?

5 hours and I sobbed like a big baby when we were leaving! It helped seeing him so happy there and he seemed to have some really nice roommates. ;)

I'm sure I'll be a wreck. I hope her roommates are good. She ended up in a quad and that's a lot if girls to have together in one small room. Well see how it goes. She's excited and I hope the experience is really good for her.

My son is in a dorm apartment with 6 people. Being freshman and boys, it will probably be ok. It will probably work out well for your daughter too - great way to meet people her first year. I'll be thinking of you in a couple weeks and sending happy thoughts your way.
