Okay would you like to start?

Sure.. Is it okay to start at the choosing ceremony?

Yeah, that's fine.

Kelli took her seat in the Amity section next to Chandler. Due to how they called the names, she would choose before him. She smiled slightly, excited and nervous.

Chandler smiled softly and leaned into Kelli's shoulder. "You ready?" He asked her. He could hear the nervousness in his own voice. He was antsy and surprised he wasn't shaking.

Kelli nodded, turning her head to look at him. "Yeah, are you?" She asked softly. She nervously tapped her foot on the ground.

"I guess you could call it that." He said, waiting for the start of the ceremony, he remained leaning against her shoulder eying the stage.

"Don't worry. It'll be fine." Kelli reassured him. She looked at the different bowls on the stage.

He rested his hand on her knee, moving his thumb around her pant leg. Her presence comforted him as he waited to make one of the biggest if not the biggest decision of his life.

Kelli smiled. The leaders of the factions gave their speech. The leader of Erudite began calling names one by one. She watched as the first few people chose their new faction, their new home.

He knew Kelli's turn was approaching. He anticipated her turn, continuing to rub his thumb across her knee comforting her along with himself.

Kelli put her hand over his. She took a deep breath. Her name would be called next.

His stomachs began churning with butterflies as he heard her name called, he whispered into her ear "Good Luck."

"See you in a few.." Kelli whispered back. She stood up and walked toward the stage. She picked up the blade and made a small cut on her hand. She looked over the five bowls.

He watched with excitement and fear, hoping her choice would be the same as his.

Kelli took a deep breath. She moved her hand over the burning coals of Dauntless. She watched as a single drop of blood fell into the bowl.

He smiled brightly and felt more relaxed, knowing most likely he'd be with his friend. He sat uncomfortably in his chair waiting for his name to be called.

Kelli stepped off the stage and took a seat with the cheering group of dauntless. She glanced across the room over at him. She waited patiently for him to choose.

A ball of emotions seemed to form in his throat as his name was called. He swallowed and stood from his seat, he made his way down to the stage and held the blade in his hand. He quickly turned back looking at Kelli with questioning eyes.

Kelli smiled gently at him and nodded, as if to tell him she was okay with whatever he chose. She watched nervously as he chose.

He pricked at his finger with the bald, he glanced at all the bowls. He had already made his decision, he shuffled his feet and dropped a single drop of blood on the coals of dauntless. He sighed in relief and walked back, sitting next to Kelli and the rest of the dauntless faction.

Kelli gave him a hug once he had sat down next to her. She smiled, glad that they weren't going to be split up.

His cheeks reddened when she hugged him, as he pulled back his cheek brushed against hers. He faced back towards the stage feeling a bit more confident and relaxed about the journey ahead.

Kelli smiled. She listened as the rest of the names were called. The ceremony ended and she stood up next to Chandler.

Chandler gulped and stood next to her, he wasn't sure what to do now.

"Come on." Kelli said enthusiastically. She took his hand and led him down and to the doors with the other Dauntless.

He accepted her hand and gripped it tightly, letting her lead him. He cleared his throat seeing the other dauntless so hyped and energetic, his hand shook in nervousness.

Kelli smiled brightly. Once the Dauntless had exited the building they started running. Kelli held onto Chandler's hand and started running, following them.

He followed Kelli. Not really sure what was going on, he just started running following Kelli and the rest of the group.

Kelli glanced over at him, smiling. She watched as some of the Dauntless began climbing the pillars that led to the train tracks. "You want to go first or want me to?" She asked.

He brushed past her and began climbing "First one to the top wins." He says, giggling in a deep tone.

Kelli smiled. She ran to a nearby pillar and began climbing. It was easy for her to climb the pillar.

Unlike Kelli he struggled to climb the pillar, he breathed heavily as he reached the top. Looking around for her, not really sure if she had beat him or not.

Kelli was waiting for him on the platform. She smiled and walked over to him. She was breathing normally.

"Cheater." He says, playfully hitting her on the arm. His breathing calmed but he still was exhausted. Chandler rested his head on Kelli's shoulder trying to re gain his energy.
