This is my first official buddy read so I am holding off on it until then!

I'm at page 22. So far, I feel so sad reading about a world with no food! XD I.Love.Food.
It was bittersweet hearing her grandma tell her what dinner used to be like. I love her grandma :)
And I don't really like how the book isn't broken up into chapters, it's sections and parts...

I'm 13 percent in on my kindle, it was making me hungry! XD It was bittersweet hearing Grandma Apple tell her what food was like. Her Grandma's awesome!


I'm used to that sort of format actually. Unwind only had numbers when it switched protagonist's view.

I'm now at 13% (page 53). I immediately like "Basil" but we better learn his real name soon. I can't seriously call him Basil! XD

XD 16 percent in, I love Basil but yeah I'm wondering what his real name is. I see someone called Basil and I think back to the Disney movie the Great Mouse Detective. Thalia's witty though I like her.

I'm at 45%. I'm not loving Thalia completely right now, but I am getting into this story more!

Yeah Thalia's having some big derp moments but the actions getting really good. I'm also loving Yaz more.

She definitely saved their butts taking them to that spalon.

61% so I just need to catch up to you. XD I can't wait to pick it back up. I can't believe what they did to Ana!

BUT, I find him to be a bit douche-y at times. Understandably so, but still lol.
I'm stopping at 83% for the night. I'm happy I made so much progress today! :D

XD Your not rushing me at all! I love stuff like this. When Unsouled came out in 2013, me and one of my friends were having a bit of a reading race to see who could get ahead first. It's fun!

I JUST FINISHED. (view spoiler)[ The Farm was terrifying! And they were "growing" their own "meat"? *GAG* Seriously gross! I liked the end best, it was sweet but I hope it's real! Like, I really hope Yaz is with them, and Peter and Grace and Rebecca and they really are living together like a perfect family. I can't believe it ended with Thalia and Basil in, what I assume is Canada, and not with her family! But I'm happy it seems like everyone made it out alive! It was crazy! (view spoiler)[ I was trying not to gag when I read that part! I knew Dr. Demeter was a psychopath! The end was the best part for sure but man... I really wanted to see Thalia and Basil with her family but I hope that they are all there safe and sound. I hope she writes a sequel I have so many questions! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ It does feel like there's a lot left unanswered. DR. DEMETER! I freaking knew he was the "dear doctor"!!! Last night after I put the book down and was trying to sleep, my mind was going crazy making connections. Like, no kidding, my eyes popped open when I thought about Haza and what she said about eggs in the asylum when Gaia started talking about harvesting monthly gifts (EW BTW) and I whispered out loud, eggs. XD Even his name was a hint. DEMETER. GAIA. It was so clever! (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I did too, I was like: "It has to be Demeter!" That scene with Haza kept popping up in my head and then I had a huge: "EEWWW" moment when I realized they were harvesting human eggs... Just... Bleegh. Gaia was all sorts of messed up. I honestly was expecting some sort of huge: "SYNTHOMILL IS PEOPLE" thing but... *shudder* What we got was even creepier. It was a really good book... And I was d'aawing a bit when her dad said: "I always have your back HP." like: "HE'S ANONYGAL!" (hide spoiler)]

I d'awwwwed too! I didn't see that coming at all :)
I liked it a lot, but can't say I loved it. I just posted a LONG review to try and express my thoughts on it lol! It was SO technologically advanced I felt a bit overwhelmed in the beginning. Plus, I'm finding out dystopia isn't a genre I read many of, so it can be a bit tough for me to get into it. I did really enjoy the story though. It was totally unique!

The story was a little hard to get into I will admit, but the world building was one of my favorite parts. All that tech and the explanations. It was a lot of fun. I could see myself rereading it just not right at this moment in time. I read a lot of Dystopian but it can be hard to find the unique ones. I kind of feel people's comments on it are just mostly people who don't give it a chance.
