Welcome to this month's Hidden Gems challenge!

Hidden Gems is a fantastic way to plow through those mountains of books claiming space in your house or e-reader. I have found that this challenge produces some fun group interaction as well, because someone else chooses which book you’ll read next.

If you sign up, you'll be matched up with a Hidden Gems partner. You will choose a book from the list your partner designates which you have already read and cannot believe your partner hasn’t read yet. Your partner will do the same for you with the list you designate. The point is to find that “Hidden Gem” that you think they’ll love… because you adored it when you read it!

Let us know which books you choose for each other. When you finish reading your gem, let us know what you thought about it. Perhaps your Hidden Gem might find its way to someone else’s wish list!

Match-ups will be created on the 10th of the month. Please choose books for each other by the 13th.

Sign up by telling us which list you’d like your partner to choose from.

Happy reading, friends!

Feel your pain, Staci. I still have some HGs sticking around from 2021. :D Every time I think I can squeeze one in, work or a tight deadline pops up.

message 5: by Staci, Book Awards Specialist (new)

Staci | 3867 comments Mod
Glad I'm not alone! I've got May and June stacked up...both books I very much want to read, but I realized I had to turn most of my focus on the quarterly "south" challenge to have any hope of completing it. Hope to get caught up with HGs in July. A girl can hope. :-)

Andrea Cox (andreacox) | 6246 comments Mod
Right?! Maybe we ought to make a list with books that fit the USA Regional Tour challenge for our HG partners to choose from? Food for thought. ;)

Staci | 3867 comments Mod
Good idea Andrea! I might do that for August or September.

Brittany | 548 comments Well, I am going to jump on the "I'm overwhelmed with so many books to catch up on and behind in my Hidden Gems, but, hey...go ahead and pick me something for July's Hidden Gems" bandwagon with Andrea and Staci!!!

Please choose 3-4 titles from the temporary list that I have set up to help with a few other challenges along with this one. It is "Temp HG Series Forgotten List":

My first thought was, we have already done July, shouldn't this say August? Then I realized we are still only in June. Hahaha! Blaming it on my teeth problems the last few weeks.

I know I do that when I'm in the middle of a series that I don't have time to finish right away . . . the next book goes on my HG list!

Missy, you have a bunch of great books on your list, so I could only narrow it down to four, all of which were five-star reads for me. Hopefully this works out for if you haven't yet read a book one in any of the series. :)

Waiting on Love (Ladies of the Lake, #3) by Tracie Peterson The Indebted Earl (Serendipity & Secrets, #3) by Erica Vetsch The Thief of Lanwyn Manor (Cornwall, #2) by Sarah E. Ladd Daughters of Northern Shores (Blackbird Mountain, #2) by Joanne Bischof

You will enjoy either choice, but if you pick If I Run you will not be able to stop till you finish the whole series. I had such a hard time waiting for the sequels to be published, but you will have the opportunity to read them as soon as you like.

Thanks for picking those great choices for me. I think I will go with either True to You (A Bradford Sisters Romance, #1) by Becky Wade or Life After by Katie Ganshert
