Jess (coffeeshopthrillers) | 131 comments I came into the group a little later in June/along with starting my own local book club chapter: Clarksville Coffee Shop Mysteries.

1. The Dilemma by B. A. Paris - not to keen on this one but it also wasn't her typical psychological thriller that I'm used to.
☕☕ out of 5

2. Someone We Know by Shari Lapena - this one was a page Turner for sure and I was fooled until the end (how I like em')
☕☕☕☕ out of 5

3. Not Me by Kate Bold - First book in the Camille Grace series. It was engaging but it had a strong "Voodoo" connection that I wasn't too thrilled about but it introduces you to a strong female heroine with an attitude to match.
☕☕☕ out of 5

4. The Maid by Nita Prose - was a delightful "cozy" mystery with some predictable yet unexpected turn of events.
☕☕☕ out of 5

5. Just Like the Other Girls by Claire Douglas - the book has (2) separate parts, part 2 was 100% better, for it got straight to the point w/o all unnecessary filler. I enjoyed the plot and kept me guessing until the very end.
☕☕☕ out of 5

6. Greenwich Park by Katherine Faulkner - it was a great psychological thriller. The characters were definitely brought to life in this one. My line of thinking (and guessing) was way off and it made me enjoy it so much more.

7. My Sister's Grave by Robert Dugoni - was the first by this Author and won't be the last! The writing was superb and the story line cut into your heart strings. What made me read this one was the book trailer.

8. The Book of Cold Cases by Simone St. James - this one was both engaging & eerie. Never read anything from this author but I loved how she entwined past events and how they haunted the present.

***BAD CHOICE:
Dark Hollow by John Connolly - I wanted to love this one because I enjoyed the first book in the Charlie Parker series but it bored me to tears. It's been a while that a mystery/thriller made me feel this way.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16933 comments Nice month, Jess. You jumped right in with three of the group reads and it was nice to revisit Greenwich Park as you commented on it. Since you liked Simone St. James' The Book of Cold Cases, you may want to sneak in a read of her The Sun Down Motel too. :)
It's been a while since I read a Charlie Parker book. I had jumped around out of order and got behind on the series.

BarryP (barrypz) | 3498 comments Sorry to hea4r about the John Connolly book. The series has certainly changed from the early books to the later ones, becoming increasingly supernatural. I like them as a change from my usual, and his effective use of quirky side kicks.

Bonnie I liked Cold Cases too - and apparently My Sister's Grave (but it was 2016 and I'm old and can't really remember it. ) Greenwich Park interests me, I'm adding it tbr.
