I actually read this one and reviewed it last week. I felt so behind so tried catching up.

Nope... lol I'm so behind. I'm trying to read my book for my face-to-face book club today. We meet tomorrow. I am still hoping to read this one this month since it publishes on the first, preferably before the 20th when The Villa read is supposed to start. Would you ladies be ready to start in a couple of days? The 11th?

I'm either going to blow through this over the weekend or not start reading it until Oct 24. *shrug*

I have a toppler (sort of like a read-a-thon challenge) in another group the week of the 24th, so I just signed up for this one. I will be reading it that week for sure now and will need to be finished on the 29th.

I'm starting this when I get out of my dentist appt this afternoon! I have a paperback ARC so it's a little more inconvenient to read. lol

I'm about 40-50 pgs in, forgot to check this morning before I left for work what chapter I'm on. There's definitely a lot of questions!

It certainly started out with an attention grabbing scene!

She's pissed about overhearing Ned saying he was only giving her 50,000 pounds. She set this all up to get more money from him. Is Hunter in on it though? I feel like he is the "caring" kidnapper. I started this one last night and OH boy! What a start!

I started it, then put it aside. I had seven books going at the same time! I am down to six, but will try to spend some extra time on this one now. :)

It was too many, Elyse. I end up not making progress on any of them. I need to only focus on two at a time, one audio and one physical/Kindle.

I felt like Amalie was a naive girl who was going to be pushed around the whole time. BUT... maaaybe she is smarter than we think. The whole Post-Nup thing is very smart. He was trying to take advantage of her, but she is going to turn the table on him.

I don't know who the kidnappers are. I was thinking Hunter at first, but I don't think so. I feel like she would have sensed it was him. Though he had only been working for Ned for a few months before all this blew up.

I am wondering if Carolyn is aware. I know she was trying to get her attention during the press conference, but it is hard to know how girls will respond to other girls who do dumb things.

I found it clever to how she is really a prisoner in BOTH timelines. As soon as she married Ned - she is virtually a prisoner. I didn't see that happening.

Sorry, I've been on vacation and not had nearly as much reading time as expected. Should have some time this evening, hopefully.

I finished. Thought it was great!
I was surprised at so many mediocre reviews though. Lots of 3 and some 2 star reviews. I try not to look til after I read unless it is a book I am on the fence about.

(view spoiler)[ he is alive! It was a happy ending, well except for the fact that every single person she knows is dead. Well, and her PTSD abt everything. And the fact that she doesnt know that she can trust him.
That is one thing I like about this author - her endings are messy and not happy.

I liked the whole thing abt the shower gel and how she thought it was Luka the whole time. I didnt think of that.
I thought the part about her recreating her room to the captivity room was sad.

The part abt how she got the house and money from her father and that they couldnt find her was farfetched though.

I finally started this one again. I only got to 19%, but I am not trying to read 100 books at once so I should be able to read it pretty quickly now. I'm curious to find out what is going on.

I can't remember how this one went. I reread the spoilers and I am still like, huh...
