Rachel (rachelsbookcorner) | 2 comments I came across Angelfall when a friend lent it to me. Within the first chapter I was hooked and have read it twice more since.

I wondered is maybe Raffe felt protective by instinct. That's what I thought at first anyway... I thought maybe angels just have a natural need to protect humans. That was until I saw what happens later. lol. Who knows! The angelic group are very confusing creatures. I want to know MORE! :)

Lynndell | 1 comments I absolutely love the Penryn and the End of Days series and I am anxiously awaiting the 3rd book! I enjoy Penryn, a magnificent heroine, and her family is interesting in so many ways. Susan Ee makes me laugh because of the dry humor relating to Penryn's mother. I am thoroughly enjoying this re-read!

Know the feeling! ;)

Speaking of not trusting people, when Penryn and Raffe met the resistance what did you think? Do you think the resistance are silly for thinking they have any chance against the angels, or do you think they'll be back in End of Days?

Silly isn't the word I would use. Admirable and strong. They might be the underdog but if there is anything about humans to be true it's that they/we are scrappy. Just like Pen is in all her fights where she is the smaller weaker of the fighters, humans vs. angels isn't an equal fight but that doesn't automatically make us the losers.
Obi said the attack at the aerie was just to let the other humans know there the Resistance is out there, that they do exist. The attack was to bring the humans home. After that they can worry about how they are going to win. At the moment, in Angelfall, they need the numbers. Like when Penryn analyzes her opponents and looks for the best way to take them down, once the Resistance has their numbers they can start looking at how they are going to take the angels down, how they are going to win.
I don't think the resistance is silly.
Ambitious, courageous and a bit crazy, yes. But not silly.

Plus I think after the fight at the second aerie, the Resistance has acquired 1 archangel, 1 pookybear, 1 penryn and 1 scorpion leader (paige) so they definitely definitely stand a fair chance.

Haha, all fear mighty Pookybear!

So, we're re-reading the bit where Penryn infiltrates the aerie with Raffe! This is one of our favourite parts because it's the first time we get a proper look at the Angel society.

Even though it's wrong, we kind of wish we could hang out at an angel party... Who's with us?

Wrong, but every girl needs to party; I'll admit it. *shrugs shoulders*

Hurrikan Kathrina (hurrikankathrina) I guess I would like to hang out at the aery if I was an angel, or with a certain archangel ;) Otherwise, the chance of having my intestines ripped out is too high for my liking.

But we know how hanging out and partying out with Uriel at the second aerie turned out for Penryn and all the other humans. I don't think its a great idea either...

came across this series same as yourself

I have also been told to check out
a series by Becca Fitzpatrick - Hush Hush!
four books in this series, just waiting for
the first book to arrive, the whole set is
already published ,so no waiting. Noticed
favourable comments on here in various places
so its looking good for something to read whilst I
wait for the final book to this series.
