Mystery/Thriller Reading Friends discussion

I was "interviewed" for my local HR managers Linked In group as a "get to know the members" feature. They asked 3 questions, and one was "If you could pick any fictional character as a best friend, who would you choose and why?" I was stumped but finally picked Lucas Davenport (Dan will not be surprised) because he is tough, smart, will have your back, and is funny as hell.

Who would you choose?

Wow Carol, not a surprise at all for your Lucas Davenport BFF choice. This is hard! So many of my favorite mc’s are a bit “quirky” . Lol

Lucas was a great choice and I could also see Virgil and Lettie being contenders.

I would go with John Dortmunder so I could join the gang and help plan capers that always end up going awry. I think that would be better than working for a living.

Sandi, I thought of Virgil after the fact. He would be a fine second choice. I didn't think of Lettie, probably bec of the age differential, but you are right there!

I don't know Dortmunder, will have to look him up. I'm sure their capers would go off without a hitch with you part of the crew!
